| Max and Caroline's first encounter |
The pilot episode, the audience is first introduced to all the characters. We first approach Max as she waits on a table of two hypster boys treating her in an obnoxious and rude way. With this she throws them back their attitude and insults them. Meanwhile Han Lee (the boss) fired the old Russian waitress and hires Caroline. Caroline lied on her resume saying that she had worked in the top Manhattan restaurant. However she knows nothing about being a waitress. Later Max finds out Caroline has no where to sleep and offers her to be her room mate. Whilst Max is out on her second job, Max's boyfriend finds Caroline and tries to approach her. Caroline panics and tells Max. But being Max a hard headed person, she doesn't believe until she caught her boyfriend cheating on her with one of his band members. Max kicks him out and breaks up with him.
Max Black in Episode 1
Max
In this episode Max is portrayed to be sarcastic, constantly makes jokes and regularly insults and offends people without much thought. We also know she's been a waitress all her life as she's said so. We also now she's financially unstable as she has to work two jobs one after another just to sustain herself which explains why she's living in a 'rough' neighbourhood in down town Brooklyn. She is mostly seen wearing her work uniform but when she isn't she wears clothes bought from Goodwill (Charity Shop).
Caroline Channing in Episode 1
Caroline
Caroline is the opposite of Max; she's sophisticated and comes from a wealthy background. We can spot this by the way she talks, acts and dresses. We first she her coming out of the women's changing room refusing to wear the uniform as "It doesn't match with her skin tone." Due to her upbringing, she is very stylish and used to designer clothing. Her father Martin Channing was involved in a Ponzi Scheme and the government was forced to freeze all of their bank accounts forcing Caroline to work and sustain for herself.
Personal Overview
In my perspective 2 Broke Girl's is appropriate for teenagers and above but not for younger kids as they sometimes use rude or foul language. It's very entertaining and hilarious due to the comic style sitcom the producers have created.
I believe that the casting directors have chosen the perfect actors to play Caroline and Max as Beth and Kat play their roles outstandingly accurate.

Good explaining.
